Daniel Burnham

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Daniel Burnham's 1909 Plan of Chicago.  Actor historian R.J. Lindsey portrays Daniel Burnham as he narrates a slide presentation that begins with the Chicago Fire of 1871, features Burnham's innovative buildings including Montauk, Monadnock, Reliance and the Rookery, the "White City" of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, and concludes with illustrations of his Chicago Plan. 

This event is cosponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Northbrook Historical Society.
