Make Big Plans: Daniel Burnham's Vision for the Metropolis

Exhibit :

In honor of the 100th anniversary of Daniel Burnham and Edward H. Bennett's Plan of Chicago, the Make Big Plans: Daniel Burnham's Vision of an American Metropolis exhibit, curated by the Newberry, will be on display simultaneously at the Illinois Railway Museum and over 50 public libraries and other venues throughout the metropolitan region. The exhibit emphasizes the Plan's relevance to metropolitan development through the 20th century and into the future using photographic reproductions of stunning images from the plan and other sources.
