The World According to Burnham and Bennett: Virtual Burnham Initiative Roll-out

Century in Motion Festival:  Join Lake Forest College for a fast-paced “virtual tour” of Burnham and Bennett’s Chicago. We will see flat images from the 1909 Plan of Chicago evolve into fascinating 3-D models and learn how the Virtual Burnham Initiative is encouraging participants to create structures from the past and develop visions for the future of our region.

A visit to the DePaul computer facility to explore the 3-D images will be followed by a reception and brief discussion with the project’s creator, Davis Schneideman, professor at Lake Forest College. Event begins at 25 East Jackson, Room 1308 (DePaul’s Lewis Center at 25 East Jackson Blvd). Free. Space is limited, so please register in advance to Burnham@depaul.edu.
