In Chicago 2109, the natural landscape takes a primary role. The city is designed as a network of pods – self-contained habitations connected by raised walkways. Wide, aerial boulevards connect the buildings, upper green spaces, and monorail transportation nodes. Below these are a natural layer of parks, forest preserves, urban farming, waterways, and underground space.
