Assembled Ecologies: Infrastructure ala Carte

A 1,200-acre north extension to Lincoln Park accommodates new relationships between nature, park, and city. It merges infrastructure, commerce, technology and environmentalism with recreational programming. Landfill embankment on the east accommodates the extension of Lake Shore Drive and a new public rail system. This encloses a reservoir to support tiles – each the size of a typical Chicago block and constructed, assembled and towed into position like a barge.
