Eco Bridge
The two-mile bridge, a breakwater in Monroe harbor, creates a grand new civic space, providing recreational opportunities and unparalleled views of the skyline from a central Eco-Tower. Designed to harvest wind and solar power, the tower is a public observatory with food service and other amenities. Vertical-axis wind turbines along the bridge produce clean, renewable energy and showcase Chicago’s dedication to sustainability.
