The master plan rings the industrial city of Gary, Indiana with a natural resources greenway and recreation corridor that connects the Grand Calumet River, the Little Calumet River, the Lake Michigan shoreline, and the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The proposal restores native ecological communities and introduces bicycle and pedestrian trails as active elements within nature. WiFi hot zones organize social spaces.
