Discovering Daniel Burnham in Chicago's Parks

You will learn about Burnham & Root’s work in Jackson and Washington Parks, the legacy of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition and subsequent redesign of Jackson Park along with Frederick Law Olmsted, the Burnham & Co. contribution to Chicago’s revolutionary neighborhood parks such as Sherman and Fuller Parks, and the way in which Grant Park and the lakefront influenced Burnham & Bennett’s 1909 Plan of Chicago.
