The tower on the Chicago River includes hotel, apartments, and parking. A six-story rectilinear base conforms to the site boundary and the tower shape responds to the environment and views. The flat, insulated north face will block cold northwest winds. The curved glass facade is oriented south, east and west on lower floors, but gradually bends northward to allow expanded views at the top of the building.
