BOLD PLANS BIG DREAMS
FOR THE NEXT 100 YEARS
Dear Burnham Plan Centennial Partners and Friends:
We are at the end of a phenomenal year, and this marks our final Burnham Plan Centennial E-news. You inspired and educated millions of adults and children, and moved forward to protect thousands of acres of open space and connect the region with hundreds of miles of trails. And you helped engage people in the first regional Plan since Burnham and Bennett’s: CMAP’s GO TO 2040 plan. Thank you!
CMAP wants to build on our momentum. Like the 1909 Plan, publication of the GO TO 2040 Plan will be a first step—engaging a broad public in implementing it will be the key.
I encourage you to respond to Randy Blankenhorn’s invitation (right) to learn more about the CMAP plan on the afternoon of Thursday, January 21, 2010 at CMAP’s headquarters in the Willis Tower. We hope you consider CMAP’s request to be part of inspiring the public about implementing the next regional vision.
Sincerely,
Emily J. Harris
