About David G. Clark: Clark, a.k.a. the Windy City Road Warrior, is the author of Exploring Route 66 in Chicagoland: Journeys through History on the Mother Road in Cook County (2006) and Images of America: Route 66 in Chicago (2007). His father was from Joliet, Illinois.

About Joliet Public Library: The main building for the Joliet Public Library opened in 1903 and was designed by Daniel Burnham. In 1991 the library built an addition to the main building that complements the original Burnham design.
