NORTHWEST INDIANA PADDLING ASSOCIATION

NWIPA was formed to promote canoeing and kayaking in Northwest Indiana, increase recreational paddling opportunities throughout the region, support ecological conservation and restoration efforts, increase public access and helping to enhance our water trails, promote paddle sport knowledge and safety, support environmental and outdoor recreation educational efforts, provide a voice for canoeists and kayakers, find new friends interested in paddling the southern Lake Michigan watershed, partner with neighboring organizations and help organize joint events, and have tons of fund paddling our wonderful waterways.

Burnham to Marquette Water Trail Expedition

Northwest Indiana Paddling Association

The Burnham to Marquette Water Trail Expedition is a bi-state sea kayaking event that will allow competent participants to be a part of a historic weekend long journey from Chicago to Michigan City.  The route will follow the new Southern Lake Michigan Water Trail that will be dedicated by this inaugural event.
