Program Partners

Serving a population of more than 10,000, Lyons Public Library provides interlibrary loan, reference services, Internet access and adult programming for our residents. Our mission is to promote interest and enjoyment of reading in children and adults; to provide materials that supplement the local grade school, high school and college students' learning; to provide materials to enable adults to continue to educate themselves after finishing formal schooling; to provide materials for adults to keep themselves informed on world events and therefore, help them to participate in a democratic society.
The Lyons Public Library is pleased to host the Make Big Plans: Burnham's Vision of an American Metropolis exhibit from June 15 - November 30, 2009. For more information about the exhibit--curated by the Newberry Library--and the list of more than 60 venues throughout the Chicago metropolitan region at which it is on display, to access the exhibit on-line, or learn more about the Make Big Plans series of public programs click here.
