Daniel H. Burnham' Presents: Make No Little Plans

This is a unique opportunity to learn about important events in Chicago history first-hand, by Chicagoan and architect Daniel H. Burnham, in his own club, The Cliff Dwellers.

Chicago actor RJ Lindsey portrays Daniel H. Burnham, the famed architect, narrating with slides key events in his life, such as the Chicago fire of 1871and the opportunities it afforded him and his partner John Root; his work on the 1893 Columbian Exposition and on the 1909 Plan of Chicago. Burnham also discusses his innovative buildings: Montauk, Monadnock, Reliance, and the Rookery Building. He asks the question for 1909 and for Chicago's future: “How are we living?

This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Chicago history, in a personal way that you and your family won't forget! Sponsored by the Swedenborg Library.
