Wacker’s Manual of the Plan of Chicago: Municipal Economy, written in 1911, taught the city’s eighth grade students about the 1909 Plan of Chicago. Jean Linsner, Vice President of Youth Education, Chicago Architecture Foundation, shares highlights from this textbook and offers a glimpse at how today’s students and teachers take up the challenges set forth in the Manual.
